Today, in Second Grade we learned all about Polar Bears!
Of course, the kiddies LOVED our Polar Bear friend! He was a great hit for this week's theme!
We read the information cards together on the SmartBoard and then I asked students to read them in small groups together. They love non-fiction so it's a great way to encourage rereading for fluency practice. They completed an All About Polar Bears sheet and included their favorite facts!
Of course there was also a CRAFT! I'm all about crafts and so are my kiddies!
After a morning filled with reading, writing, and crafting, we enjoyed some fun facts sheets! I usually set these aside for early finishers and/or morning work but decided it was a nice way to review the information we'd learned and a fun way to end the day!
