It's gonna be a Rockin' Christmas!

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to pop by and tell you all about the fun we've been having with our Rockin' Christmas Characters.  Just when I think my students have completely blown me away, they just up and go and do it again!!!! I mean they are sooooo creative and are just such great little writers!

Check out this title! I mean seriously!!! Hilarious!

Santa a Super Rockstar (Who knew?)
I just about died of laughter!

Now this is the best part! I conquered my fear of messes and disorganization and let them go wild with the scrapbook paper. The more glittery the better!

It was all over the place but also all worth it because, the kiddies made the cutest rockstars ever!

As always, we wrote a class story together and I made models. I made a model of each and let my students choose which character they preferred to make.

You can check this pack out right over HERE!!!!

Magic, Magic, Everywhere!!!

Well Sweet Friends, you won't believe it but I'm sick AGAIN!!!! Waaaaaaaahhh! So very annoying! Especially since this is going to be quite the exciting week with the kiddies! I'm looking forward to having lots of fun with my sweeties this week. Holiday concert, PJ day, gingerbread cookie day, pasta lunch, and so much more! It's going to be a great week!

Speaking of great weeks, we just had one and it was filled with holiday fun! As you know, our elf friend, Hot Dog, has been visiting us each day and he is quite mischievous and funny. Here are a few shots of his favorite spots in our classroom.

You wont believe it but our school's grade one classrooms ALSO received a package from the North Pole! AND,  get this!!!! It included magic elf sprinkles that grew.. Wait for it...

CANDY CANES!!!!!!!!!

It took a few days to grow, but HEY, it was worth the wait!

The firsties also received Reindeer Profiles and were asked to fill them out and send them back to the North Pole ASAP. Apparently, Santa is looking for a new contender for the sleigh team and he wanted the kiddies to give their input! He sent over some magic dust, and the kiddies each put a sprinkle of it in the box. This was, of course, to ensure that the package got back to the North Pole in a timely manner.

You wont believe the fun our first and second grade students had creating profiles of their own, and playing some reindeer games!

First, we read the profiles that Santa sent us... You wouldn't believe the things we learned about the reindeer! It was so much fun to read.

Then, we created a profile as a class and then the kiddies went off and created their own.

Wow, did they ever do a great job!

For those early finishers, we had a reading comprehension and some fun reindeer games to complete.

You can check out the Reindeer Profiles HERE!

Until next time...

Holiday Season + Second Grade = FUN! FUN! FUN!

Hello my Sweet Friends!

Today was a GREAT day!
I love experiencing the holidays through the kiddies eyes!
I love the magic of Christmas!
I LOVE teaching and I LOVE the Holiday Season!!!!

Today, we received a package from the North Pole!
My school secretary buzzed our classroom and informed us of a package. The kiddies were caught off guard because they thought it was a surprise for my student teacher who is leaving at the end of the week. As soon as I got it, I mentioned how cold the box was. THIS got their attention. They immediately wanted to touch it and find out what was inside.
We gathered together and we opened the box.

Inside we found some reindeer profiles.
We will be making our own reindeers tomorrow (Can't Wait)!!!!

Candy Canes, Pencils, and Stickers...

Aaaaannnnd... a letter from Santa!!!!!

It was incredible to see the magic in their eyes! We had so much fun, and so much candy!
I found this in the empty box of goodies! So stinken SWEET!

Later in the day, we returned to class and found an elf! We read the book and came up with a name. They chose Hot Dog! Oh, Boy! Hehehe!

Once all the excitement had finally simmered down, the students logged where they had found the elf and drew a picture. We also sang our Holiday Concert song to the elf. We think he quite liked it! :)

Did I mention we had a GREAT day!
Have yourself a great day too and grab a FREE copy of the Elf Log HERE!

December Currently

Hello Everyone,
I just love everything about today. All of the report card and parent conference craziness is over, my students are excited about working on some Christmas activities, TpT is having a sale and I scored some great stuff, it's December which means Christmas is almost here AND there's a new Currently! I just love Farley's linky. It's so much fun! Stop on over to Oh' Boy Fourth Grade and link up!

Before I talk about what's up in my life RIGHT NOW, I thought I'd tell you about a little challenge I'm doing at my gym. It's called Defi Cardio (I live in Quebec, hence the French title) and is a challenge that promotes heart health and physical activity. I love working out and have been really into healthy eating and fitness these past few months, so I'm looking forward to this challenge! It will require me to workout (at my gym) every single day this week! No if's, and's, or but's! Wish my team luck!
Here's a photo of me at the gym yesterday!
I love when we get to use the aerobics room for my workout. I had it ALL to myself!

So now for the Currently...

I absolutely love everything to do with Christmas! It's my favorite time of year. Lights, food, baking, family, it's all just perfect! This year, I'm especially excited because I will be going to Miami for NYE! It's also my friend's 30th birthday, so I'm thinking we are going to have a fabulous time!

I'm also loving all the sales going on. Whether it be in stores or on TpT, I am grabbing some great deals these days! Woot! Woot!

Wishing you all a fantastic evening! Happy Month of December!
Until next time...
